Need some extra motivation lately

I have kind of been in a slump mood wise towards my weight loss. It's been 2 1/2 years since my journey started and I just haven't been as motivated and been a bit negative towards myself of which I am trying to fix through meditation, yoga, and self affirmations. The gym has always been a hobby for me . I absolutely love it more than anything.... Except lately... I know everyone hits slumps in their weight loss and fitness journey, I know I have before but they never lasted this long. Bad timing as well due to summer being right around the corner.. Any tips or tricks to get out of the slump of wanting to give up? The last thing I want to happen is for me to give up. Thank you

I have been on my weight loss journey (again) for 171 days and have made good progress (39 pounds!) but I sometimes I get into a "funk" also. This path we are walking (sometimes running..) is a hard one and it can slowly wear away at our motivation. I don't know how much you have lost in your 2 1/2 years but I am sure you have come a long way from the person you use to be. When I am slipping a bit I don't beat myself up too badly over it and commit to adding an extra goal to the next day's list. Maybe it's drinking 4 more ounces of water a day or exercising when I didn't that day. I force myself to stay active and just wait it out. Recently I got out of a slump by committing to more Fitbit challenges. I went from just making my 10,000 steps daily to over 130,000 steps a week! It really helped and gave me a shot of motivation. Don't give up. You know you can and will reach your goals. Keep pushing!0
