    Howdy,

You should probably drop the "extras" and focus on CICO and eating at a deficit. Easy peasy!!

What @faidwen said. None of the "extras" help, unless you're taking a doctor prescribed medicine for a specific condition. You don't need to jump start, confuse, or reset your metabolism--you just need to eat a little less than you were before. Good luck and remember: baby weight isn't some special, magical fat that's harder to get rid of than normal fat. You can do this.

Stop taking the Herbalife and Hydroxycut, they won't do anything. Start eating in a calorie deficit.

Probably a really dumb question but what does deficit mean @malibu927

A calorie deficit means you're eating less than you burn. When you set your profile up on MFP, it will give you a goal that already has a deficit included. Just add 250 calories for each half pound you chose to figure out what your maintenance calories will be. Eat that amount plus a portion of your exercise calories and adjust depending on how fast or slow your loss goes.

In addition, that doesn't mean you have to burn more through exercise than you eat. You burn plenty of calories just going about your day (work, school, taking care of your little one, socializing, errands, even basic bodily functions like breathing and digestion burn calories).

Deficit means to consume less calories than your metabolism uses. MFP does a good job of setting your baseline caloric need and setting the deficit according to your weight loss goals.

Max calorie deficit here sets a 2 pound per week loss. For me, buying a food scale and weighing my portions really helped me get an accurate idea of my calorie consumption.

Ditch the junk scamwoo Herbalife and Hydroxycut, fill out your stats in MFP, buy a food scale, and start weighing and logging EVERYTHING that goes in your mouth.

    It works.
