For my IFs-When do you have your Protein Shake?

Hi my workouts are in the middle of my 16/8 fast. Now I'm trying to get more protein in my diet. So my question is, Do you have your protein shake right after your workout or at the end of your fast? I use Six Star Whey Protein triple choc. calories 170 carbs 6 and of course protein 30. Oh I have in my coffee, YumYum.

    Hi there!

    I IF and usually keep a daily 19/5 schedule during the week and on the weekends my eating window is much longer but I try to keep it to at least 12 hours fasting.

    I workout first thing in the morning fasted and sometimes a few hours after my last meal. Regarding protein I typically get it through food (turkey/chicken breast, eggs, fish, nuts etc), but I usually drink my protein shake as a snack between my first and second meal so in between workouts I would say.

    Also I use hemp protein because of the extra fiber, there's not as much protein compared to a whey powder.
