Self Catering in Cyprus

I need a little advice the best way to not gain any weight while on a two week hol to Cyprus. Lukily Im going self catering which will allow me to control how much rubbish I am eating.

I am taking measuring cups (i know not that accurate but im not taking scales with me) and have measured that 1/4 cup is about 35g oats and 1/2 cup of almond milk is about 120ml which is what i have here so breakfast is sorted. (Will it be easy to get non dairy milk while im over there?)

Planning on buying lots of salad for lunch, and taking a herb salad dressing with me so i know thats its not too high cal. Will i be able to buy salad toppings that are not meat, eggs or cheese?

The biggest worry is dinner time. Our hotel is about 25-30min walk from the main strip so will be getting some exercise in that way. But obviously I cannot control how my food is cooked.

Also Im worried I will want all the biscuits, crisps, ice cream etc that I have eaten on previous holidays. How can I stop myself eating this?

Thanks for any comments in advance and I know the most important thing is to just enjoy!

I would like to say its a holiday so enjoy yourself but I'm not sure what your goals are:)

planning a trip abroad soon half business, half pleasure... i plan to watch what i eat and go to the gym but dont plan to diet .. however once i eat any food i don't cook I'm probably logging 800 to 1000 calories

in these circumstances i would always over estimate what ever i eat.. so if you have dinner, log what you eat and add another 300 or 500 calories or something and give yourself less to eat during the day or something

Being on holiday may mean loads of extra walking for sightseeing. In Vienna I was regularly doing ten miles a day which more than made up for restaurant meals. Maybe you will be quite active there in fact. Spend your snack money on something else ,I suggest the local shops and markets will offer fun cheap stuff with which to treat yourself. Take loads of photos . I find anything which takes my mind off snacks is helpful. Oh and have a wonderful trip!
