I hate how guilty I feel for eating so much as a solitary biscuit..when I used to eat a full packet with a cup of tea!! But i find a biscuit cures the sugar cravings! I've tried eating fruit instead but I still crave sugar, is it just psychological?

When I do the following, I don't have cravings:

    1. Get sufficient sleep
    2. Exercise regularly - when I get the happy hormones from exercise, I'm not prone to seeking them from food.
    3. Get sufficient protein in relationship to carbs. I'm not low carb, but reducing carbs and upping protein worked for cravings for me. See also http://www.nutrition.org.uk/healthyliving/fuller/understanding-satiety-feeling-full-after-a-meal.html
    4. Eat moderate amounts of fruit. This makes me less interested in higher calorie sweets.
    5. Take a magnesium supplement. This can be especially helpful for women premenstrually.
    6. Save foods like chocolate for after dinner, in small amounts

Today I have pre logged 2 bananas, 2 reeces cups, and a rolos bar..that's like 90 grams of sugar..probably not the best for me, certainly not the most filling calories I could eat but..
it keeps me sane and on my diet ..so it's ok, imo =)

Eat the biscuit. Why feel guilty? Just log it and roll on.
If you have the calories there's no harm done. They're not poison.

    +1

If it fits in your day, I say go for it. No need to feel guilty over a single biscuit that doesn't put you over your goals, especially if that one biscuit keeps you from wanting to eat other sugary items.
