4th of July gain/loss?

So I started my journey almost 2 months ago. Since then, I have not had one alcoholic drink until July 4th. I had 3 beers and managed to stay under my calorie goal AND lose 1.5 lbs the next day. I understand this could be a loss due to dehydration from what I've been reading on here.
Last night, we had just one more celebration to go to, I drank 5 beers, and woke up with those 1.5 lbs right back where they were before. I'm a little frustrated, even though I knew they might come back since it was a loss due to dehydration. I drink 3 liters of water a day, so I'm totally drinking my water the way I should.
I'd love some opinions on whether you think this might be a gain and it might take me 2-3 weeks to lose those 2 lbs (I average about 1.5 lb weight loss a week)...or can this just be my body retaining water and I'll see myself back with that 2 pound loss within a few days.
I guess I'll see in the next few days, but I always love to get input from others who may have "been there done that".
Thanks

I pretty much ate double my calories on the 4th. Oops... but it was good! Since then I have made sure to stick to the plan and I started JM's 30 Day Shred the next night. I was up 3 lbs after the holiday but a few days later I was only up .2 lbs from my pre-4th of July weight. So if I were you, I'd track and exercise for 3-5 days and then try weighing again. I always feel like I just need to get it all out of my system.0

I usually don't weigh myself the day or two after holidays/events. Just jump back on the train and and like jennwilliams7 said above, wait 3-5 days before weighing again. Most importantly, don't get down on yourself!0
