Tennis elbow

Yeah, it sucks and is starting to become debilitating. Lifting a gallon of milk, can't do it with my dominant arm anymore because of the pain. Has anyone dealt with this? What kind of arm exercises can I still do? I have been told to rest it, but that's pretty much impossible with my job and 2 kids.

I guess I'm looking for someone that has had issues with tendonitis and was still able to make progress with their lifts. I've come to far to let this injury get in my way.

I would love to tell you you can make progress on lifts, BUT....

    Sorry!

Tennis elbow kills! Not sure how you got it, but if it was tennis, what worked for me was getting a larger grip racket 7 3/8 and changing my back hand to a two hand so that I didn't twist my arm.

First things first though. It is a repetitive overuse injury. That tendon is inflammed. Rest is the answer.

And try a fruit salad every day with pineapple, blueberries, and other fruit you like and add celery. LOL I don't know why...maybe that was just what the trainer said to keep me focused on something else so I would rest the arm. LOL

Rest it! Then you can have real gains. :) Good luck...

Damn! Thanks for the info! I don't play tennis at all. I play softball. I'm sure it is an over use injury. I have had issues with it previously in the summer but not this bad. One of the docs I work with has given me a number to a sports medicine physician to see if he can help at all. I bought one of those stupid arm straps today too. Ugh, getting old stinks!
