Question about BF% as measured via BOD POD system

My question is.... what category does waste in your intestinal track show up as, fat or lean tissue?
I have been tracking my body fat loss over the past few months using BOD POD system. I generally ignore swings in my total body weight and my BF% (based on my weight) and just focus on the actual amount of FAT is recorded as being present.
I asked the technician and he was unsure, but assumed it feel into the lean reading..but, admitted was guessing. I tried to find out my answer through online researching, but haven't had much luck.
I was curious if any of the weight loss/ fitness guru's on here could shed some light on the topic.

I guess I will re-phrase...since we are talking density..FAT is generally in the range of 0.9
g/ml and muscle is in the range of 1.06 g/ml.... water is around 1 g/ml (depending on purity and temp if you really want to get technical)... So generally my body waste sinks, but not always...as its density is based on a variety of factors in my diet...
So I guess my modified question is... can anyone confirm, that generally waste is measured as lean tissue in regards to test via the BOD POD testing protocol as long as it doesn't happen to be waste that is less dense than average... (and under those conditions, it may be recorded as FAT)...

It's a two compartment model, it measures your density and then decides what proportion of you is fat vs not-fat.
So using your 0.9 and 1.06 numbers at say 15% BF your density would be (0.9*.15+1.06*.85) = 1.036
If you sneaked a lump of iron into your gut then your density would go up and it would give you a lower %BF.
In general I would expect the contents of the intestinal tract adds weight without changing your volume so any content probably adds to density and reduces recorded %fat. Which makes me wonder if sucking the gut in changes the result ;-)0
