Trying to find a good woman's watch that has a heart monitor (no strap) and pedometer. Any advice?
Thanks, Stacey

ones without the strap arent as accurate.
But you might be interested in a Basis. It's pretty pricey though. It's a HRM and an activity tracker.
http://www.mybasis.com/
quote from site:Use Basis to automatically track your activity levels (duration, steps taken, calories burned), sleep stats (duration, times awoken and sleep quality) and even Resting Heart Rate! Dive deeper and explore even the smallest changes in physiological data such as your heart rate, activity and sleep patterns over the day or week.
And, unlike other devices on the market, Basis does all this for you automatically so you don't have to fuss around with sleep or exercise "modes" and buttons. It just works.
edit: Just realized I should probably elaborate on why most HRM's without a chest strap aren't accurate. Unlike the Basis that I linked to above, the majority of HRM's without a chest strap will only take a reading when you touch them.
So say you start a workout, you touch the watch after your warm up, it says 125bpm. Until you touch the watch again it is going to base your calorie burn off of the 125bpm reading. So lets say you touch it about mid workout, it says 150bpm, now its going to calculate calorie burns off of the 150bpm reading. What if your HR only stayed at 150bpm and dropped to like 140bpm after a minute or so, the watch doesn't know that. So your reading from that time frame could be extremely high.
I've had one of the watches without a chest strap. It was really inaccurate, even when I was having it read my HR every 5 mins. It gave me over 900 calories once for a 20 min walk @ 3mph. I ended up returning it and getting one with a chest strap, which gave me a burn of around 200-300 for a 20 min walk @ 3mph. That's a huge difference and why I advice against them.0
