how big a difference is there between full fat milk and semi skimmed?

Hello! This is more of a nutritionally based question surrounding milk.
I have done research and I know the importance of full fat milk in relation to semi skimmed, and I always go for full fat! However, I sometimes go out to coffee shops and "certain places" only make their lattes etc. with semi skimmed.
This has led me to wonder if drinking semi skimmed milk could lead to bad side effects..eg. Could it cause you to store fats (due to the lack of fat in the milk?) or make you feel hungrier or loose calcium etc?
Sorry for sounding slightly paranoid. I would just like to know if the only difference between milks is just that full fat is marginally healthier for you. Thanks for any help with my question!

Aside from the calories and amount of fat, no significant difference nutritionally. Especially for the amount used in a latte.

how exactly do you think that semi skimmed milk can 'make' your body 'store fats'?1

Semi skimmed is a good option, its still full of goodness and its not like they're adding to this natural product - some of the fat has been skimmed off, which lowers the calorie and obviously the fat content.
If you prefer full fat go ahead and have it .

Think she's referring to the fact it contains less vits A and E. Nonsense has no real effect on your body gaining fat in such small consumption, very paranoid, its like she's read a study and taken everything as fact.0 -

You really need to look at your diet as a whole and not obsess over individual components of that diet which you may have once in a while.
You could have an unhealthy diet with full fat milk or with semi skimmed – or a healthy diet with either or no milk at all.
You don’t store fat because of the types of food you eat – it’s as a result of a calorie surplus.
Skimmed milk actually has a little more calcium than semi-skimmed, which in turn has a little more calcium than whole milk. The calcium is in the milk and not in the fat.

I drink 2% milk at my house all the time. My husband prefers it and since I grew up on a dairy farm, I think anything not raw (which I could take off the top daily) or ultra low pasteurized (which my grandparents could sell) tastes funny anyway. Neither my husband, our kids, or myself have suffered from it. I am currently drinking fat free half and half in my coffee because I can put it in the fridge at work and other people don't use it. If I buy full fat, they do.0
