Hi all,
I have just come off a period of maintenance, in which I was training for a marathon and expending 1,000+ calories per run, 3 or 4 times a week (2,000+ on longer runs).
I have now finished my marathon training and, although I'm still running, my average burn is now 500 cal twice a week.
I thought that I would use this time to try and start putting on some muscle mass. I didn't want to try this while I was marathon training as eating in a surplus when you're burning 1,000+ a day is very costly, not to mention very bloating.
I have started taking USN Hyperbolic Mass, 3 scoops before training, 3 scoops after. This is great for giving me pre-training energy and even after a week I am seeing fantastic size gains and moderate strength gains (I know that may just be water weight from excess carbs)
There is one huge problem though. I finish training at 8am and have my shake, then by 10.30am I have a massive sugar crash and I feel light headed. Then I have to get sugar before I feel normal again.
Anyone taken this before and experienced similar? Or got any advice on sugar crashes when bulking?
Thanks!
