Insanity vs Zumba?

I've tried Les Mills Body Attack and want to start again but I also want to try out new classes. I'm just a beginner so is Insanity realistic for my level?

It's doable as a beginner, but you get what you put into it. There are no modifiers offered in Insanity (there are for Max 30) so while you are not meant to keep up with those on the screen, the format is such where if you aren't able to do the moves at least for a little you will be hard pressed to make progress.

If you can do a handful of push-ups and can squat and lunge while winded, try it. The thing with any workout program like Insanity is that it only "works" if you do. Second month sucks by the way.

Thanks for your reply. I plan on doing it once/twice a week. I tried Spinning and couldn't walk properly for a week, hope this doesn't do the same.

I personally didn't like insanity. It was a good cardio workout, but I found it boring. I prefer Zumba because I like to dance and I get really into it. But Zumba doesn't help with strength, it's only cardio.

For me, do the fit test, if you like it, do the programme... if not, don't.

maybe you should try spinning at a bit less intensity till your cardio and muscles have time to improve.

My dad is 70 and he kicked my butt on insanity a few years ago. It was humiliating. I was sitting there gasping for air staring that old man down.
Literally every workout is my journey to redemption

Insanity is a great workout but I couldn't handle it yet. Zumba is so much fun your likely to forget you are supposed to be working out. I do c25k as well. I plan on adding strength training later.
