General advice over weights and Cardio

Can anyone help please? I am just new to this so I am a little confused. I am sticking to the calories as suggested by MFP and eating and credited back through working out. I am on a daily basis doing between 10 to 20 mins on a cross trainer then doing dunbell training of about 20 mins. I am using 3kg dunbells currently. What I need to know is if this is enough to help me to lose weight and to tone up please? I have been doing this for about 2 weeks now so as you can appreciated this is all extremely new to me.
