Cleaning running shoes

I dumped a full cup of coffee over and it landed in my shoes. Really it just landed in one shoe but it splashed in the other. Is there any way to clean them other than blotting them with a wet towel?

While I'm not sure it's reccomended, I've used a brush dish soap and a hose to wash them as well as gentle cycle in the washer. I let them air dry after which usually doesn't take long. Don't dry them anywhere hot though. I'm sure there are manufacturers reccomend actions, but this has worked well for me.0

Thanks. I'll try that. The blotting hasn't helped much.0

I just throw mine in the washer. I don't think this is recommended because it may compromise the integrity of the shoe, but washing them once is probably fine. ETA: I second was said above about air drying.0

I would just rinse them out with water and let them air dry.0

Thanks y'all. I did run them through on gentle and they are air drying now. I hope they'll be ok. They look ok.0

Hand wash with soap. Don't put them in the washing machine, it damages the adhesives and reduces their mile life.0

Run through ice puddles directly afterwards, ohh it feels good.
I would think OXY clean might help as well.1
