Shopping is so awkward!

I used to like looking at fashions online to get an idea of what to buy when I went into stores. I can't really do it anymore.

Is it just me or is it awkward as a size 12/14 to look at clothing online?

All of the plus size stores use models that are bigger than me and all of the "normal" size stores use models that are much smaller than me. I can never get an idea of how something is going to look on me. Ever.

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on what to do about it?
