Hi guys!
I'm 22 years old and 5ft 9 in height.
Up until I suffered some personal losses I was very slim (130 lbs at my heaviest). I gained some 140 lbs over the last 4 years. Last year I got back down to 200lbs but, due to lack of effort on my part I have gained it all back.
My current B.M.I is - 39.1
I'm here to finally get a grip I guess!
I suffer from anxiety and depression and sometimes this gets in the way of my effort but I realise its a catch 22 situation and that eating better and exercising helps relieves the symptoms so I just need to suck it up as sitting in bed and eating is NOT helping me mentally or physically.
I'm looking for some friends to help keep me motivated and I'm happy to do the same for you.
My current plan which was planned with help from my GP as I'm in regular contact is;
Whilst my BMI is so high to undertake a VLCD for 4 weeks (No Longer!). I have been advised to eat 900 calories a day (with meal plans to make the most nutrient wise) and to start by doing 20 minute of zumba 2 - 3x per week.
After the first four weeks I am to slowly increase my calories over the next 4 weeks (increase daily by 100 each week) to 1300 whilst increasing my exercise to 45 minutes of zumba 3x per week and to start incorporating weight training.
I'm excited and feeling very positive at the moment.
This plan is what helped my shift so much weight last year, I failed because I stopped contact with my G.P and constantly made excuses as to why I couldn't exercise or why I just had to keep eating.
Not anymore, I need to do this for me.
