After workout snack: Should calories increase when you expend more calories working out?

I have read a lot about the ratio of protein to carbs. What you should eat after a workout. Almost everything says pretty much the same thing. However nothing that I have read has stated anything about how much you should eat as your snack and if it should vary depending on the workout. You would think if you bike for 2 hours than your snack should be different than if you lift weights for 50 minutes or if you run for 4 miles. Shouldn't at least the amount change? I have tried a little but couldn't find any info on it.

When you enter your exercise into MFP it will give you a calorie burn. MFP is designed for you to eat back some to all of those calories. Most people go with 50-75% as the calorie burns can be inaccurate. For instance, if I work out on my stationary bike for 30 minutes I roughly burn 200-210 calories. I would then have a small snack of 100-150 calories.0
