Why does it even matter? Our goal should be to obtain an ideal weight to support our health and fitness objectives. I personally do not care if anyone ever makes a comment about my weight.
  • people who see me every day don't really notice much at all. but people who see me once every few months or so notice everytime that they see me!
I didn't notice until I saw a picture of me from 2 years ago and honestly said "who is that?" #NSV

When I first joined MFP, I don't think anyone mentioned it until after I'd lost 10 lb's and summer had rolled around.

Then I fell back into some old habits so I'm on round 2 of MFP.

Oddly enough, they started mentioning the weight loss before I'd lost a single pound on the scale. I think maybe I just got more toned or trim without losing any weight. Either way, it felt good to hear.

I lost 20 lbs in about 6 months and no one really said a word. When I started lifting weights and lost an additional 10 lbs, THEN people started talking like crazy!! Funny how some fat loss/muscles get people's attention!!

About 30 pounds. I know it shouldn't matter but I think most of us want some confirmation of our hard work. Some people think that others don't want to mention a weight loss because it could be insensitive. I am not in that camp. :)

Weight loss is gradual, so the people who see you everyday don't notice a huge difference. Run into someone you haven't seen in a few months and you might get a reaction. However depending on you social circle talking about someone's weight can be a touchy subject.

tl:dr Don't give up they will notice eventually.

A couple of people noticed at -8kg.

Next week I will meet up with friends I haven't seen in while. Wondering how they will react, because they were part of my first weight loss journey 12 yrs ago. The weight that came back on since then, is now gone.

Some don't notice, other are afraid to say something. And my sister says, she only sees it on picture comparisons. Nice to know she doesn't reduce me to my weight issues.

mmm for me.. when i've been down to my goal weight. it took until i was almost there.. then everyone noticed...or at least then mentioned something.

Maybe they didn't want to say anything too encouraging ..so i wouldn't stop before i was done! lol.

Probably about the 40 lb mark. Oddly some have not said anything to me yet about it. Not sure if they are being polite, have absolutely no clue, don't care, never paid attention before, or what. I'll admit it is nice when someone does notice but at this point in my loss, I'm perfectly happy if no one asks me about it. I know it and truly that is all that matters. But yep, 40 lbs before some friends noticed.

People at my job have noticed, and I've only lost a few pounds.

I'd heard nothing from anyone until just this week at the 30 pound mark, where the other day a few friends and I were having fun and one said "Hey, Dylan, you look light, come over here!" and I was taken aback for a moment, and also my mother tells me I'm "too skinny" which just means not clinically obese in my family.

I have quite a bit to lose and I'm 6 ft tall. I think it was around the 40-50 lb mark when people started to really notice.

I personally don't see much difference in my before and after pics. I have dropped 58 pounds but still look in the mirror and think holy *kitten* I'm huge! I feel much better but don't see much difference in my pics.

My co-worker just yesterday told me that my face is so thin. I seemed to have lost my double chin more over anything.

That is it for me so far. Or that is all anyone has said to me. I'm sure people are thinking it.

About 25 pounds a few family members noticed. I'm down 43 pounds now and people at work have started noticing within the past couple of weeks.

I work at a dentist office and see a lot of the same people all of the time. I've lost 12lbs so far (since May 21). Not a day goes by without someone complimenting me on my weight loss. Its only 12lbs but on my frame, it made a huge difference!!
