30DS question

Hi everyone
So I was thinking about starting Jillian Michael's 30 day shred DVD.
My question is this: Is it safe? I watched it to see what the workout was like, and there is a lot of strength training. (Light weights but lots of reps) I thought you weren't supposed to life weights everyday but instead take a day off in between to let your muscles recover. Or is it because it is small weights that it is ok?
Help please...I am confused.

I'd say its safe and quite effective based on the fabulous Before/Afters that are plentiful on this site. There are a couple of 30DS groups on the board.
Here's a link to one of them. https://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/117-30-day-shred
    This workout is very popular.

No matter what program you are on, above all else, listen to your body. If it feels like your body needs to rest, rest.

BTW, I'm not expert, so take it with a grain of salt.

The weights are small (and if you don't feel you can do them, skip the weights). The 30 DS title is a bit misleading. Apparently, she states that you should do it a couple of days and then take a day off. 2 on - 1 off. So it will take you longer than 30 days if you do it that way. I started it when I was 275 and while I had to take some 5 second breaks and do the modified moves, I did it. I got stronger each day and now I'm on Level 2. I haven't lost a lot of weight, but I have lost inches.

Go for it! Listen to your body and adjust as needed.
