From 180 to 140 in 5 months

I am so excited and feel great! After seeing Christmas pictures of my fat self, I knew it was now or never. I weighed in at 180! I watched a Youtube video about cutting out sugar for just 10 days. I went for it! I felt so great, I decided to completely eliminate 'bad carbs'. That felt SO GOOD! I then started research and learned about Ketosis, and that I could reduce carb intake to the point that my body would start burning fat for energy instead of glucose! I used myfitnesspal to adjust my percentages - 65% fat, 30% protein, and 5% carbs. It was so easy to change my eating! Only my 3rd day into this did I feel sick. Otherwise, AMAZING! Energy, focus, and feeling light on my feet! The weight just started shedding.

Today, I am 5 pounds from my goal weight. I need to do major toning/sculpting at this point after the weight loss. I plan to make this my lifestyle for the rest of my life. I love what I can eat - and I'm over the sugar, pastas, breads, potatoes, etc... :smile:

    WoW.. You keep going! What an achievment to celebrate! Maybe take a photo of yourself and keep it on the fridge to remind you how far you have gone in your journey!

    If you can go your whole life eating that way then awesome! Personally, I couldn't, which is why I regained the 30lb I lost on Atkins plus some. Congrats on your weight loss!
