After he cancelled our 2nd date....

I met a guy over the weekend and we had a great date on Saturday night. He texted me on Sunday to wish me Happy Mother's Day. Then yesterday morning he texted me saying he wanted me to come over last night. I said ok. But just before I was about to leave he texted me and said "I can't do it tonight." didn't give a reason. I texted back and said "No problem."

But about 15 minutes ago he sent me 4 texts in a row saying how are you, sorry something came up, I wish I could be with you now. Haven't responded yet. Truthfully I'm really interested in him but him cancelling last night was not cool. Just wondering what my next move should be. Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Trust your gut. If it feels wrong, walk now. If its just curious behavior but you like him, give it one more chance.

maybe he text the wrong girl when he made the date, and quickly cancelled when he realized his mistake

Update - those of you who said not to play games i agree with you. But i didn't text him back last night. I really just didn't feel like going out anyway and i didn't want to text him if i wasn't feeling it.

I was also scared to take the plunge and text him first. I had a pretty hard breakup about 3 months ago. But i felt like getting in touch this morning so i texted "good morning sexy..would love to get together." Long story short we're on for tonight. Hopefully he won't do the cancelling thing again without one hell of a good reason.

If I were the guy I know I have you in the bag and can play any games with you. Anyway, if you don't like to play games I guess you disclose yours already you know what I mean.

To me, when he cancelled that would have turn me off so would have lost interest and pass...

But everybody is different.

personally I think because we have social media-we move much faster into relationships than we did 5 years ago.

I don't understand why people get together so fast-what happened to getting to know each other for a month before-hanging out alone?

I think if you like him-keep him at arms length=don't get bitchy at him about it-just sit back and give him enough rope and he will reveal himself-people are notorious for being on their best behavior the first 6 months-then they finally relax and you see the real person.

There are many scammers out there-both men and women-the sad part is these same people have kids=and people wonder why kids have poor manners-they only mimic whats at home=so try to be a good example for the young ones in your life=I would give him another chance but no alone time for 6 months.

Can we have some details? Did you ask him why he cancelled before?
