I know meal replacement shakes have been discussed here many times. I know how to eat healthily and within my calories for breakfast I just don't like to. I have never been one to eat in the mornings and forcing myself to makes me sick. Is there anyone who has done meal replacements in the morning and if so did you ever get past it? I tried just to tell myself I would eventually get used to it. I am just miserable for an hour or more after I do.

Have you ever considered skipping breakfast and just having your first meal when you are actually hungry?

I actually do that often. The problem that way is all my calories are then ate in like a 3-4 hour span at night.

Unless this is hurting you somehow (like giving you heartburn), there is nothing wrong with that. Lots of successful people on here confine their eating to a smaller portion of the day.

Not saying you have to do it, but it is something to consider.

There are no health problems that go along with eating that way? That is why I started trying because I have been lectures 9 ways to Sunday from everyone it seems. This has been the hardest part about this whole journey and it seems to be such a small ridiculous matter.

It's called "Intermittent Fasting" or IF - a lot of people prefer to eat their calories within a certain time frame.

This is assuming you don't have any pre-existing issues that require you to eat more often -- no, lots of people eat this way and they feel great and meet their fitness goals. If it is naturally what you want to do anyway, it might be worth a try.

The myth that you should spread out your meals or that eating "x" hours before bed, is just that, a myth. Your body continues to digest at the same rate no matter what time of day, or night it is.

If eating breakfast is hard for you, don't do it. Find what works best for you.

I'm just like you... food in the morning makes me nauseous, and I have also been lectured. Do what works for you. Personally, if i eat in the morning I feel like crap and I eat more calories throughout the day.

So is not contributing anything. It is very condescending. I came here for advice not to be made to feel ignorant.

Meal timing is irrelevant. You can eat whenever you want if you stay within your calorie limit. I eat between 1-4 PM generally
