What do you look for when selecting a PT?

I’m keen to understand how people go about selecting a PT? Do you normally have a goal in mind first and then look for the best trainer who can help you achieve that, given their experience and success. Or do you select based on recommendations and referrals from friends, or what you have seen on social media?

Haven't worked regularly with a PT in actual decades. Something I'm thinking about again myself.
