Stalled massively

So I recently started running. I believe this new exercise was why I sts last week as I still really ached come weigh in day. However I did the same routine this week. Kept under my calorie allowance. Kept to tdee and put on 2lbs. Is this still likely to be water weight. Week 2 of running? Or is something else happening? I can handle maintaining but seeing a 2lbs gain really has kicked me in the gut. I still have 2.5 stone to go to goal. It should be easy getting losses but it's not?
I weigh measure everything I see cals burnt in my hrm however I don't eat them as I do tdee.
It really does make me feel fed up.
Anyone shed some light on pesky water weight issues?

Stay the course. It's really common to fluctuate a few pounds when beginning a new exercise program. You're okay.

It could be the running. It could be ovulation. It could be your period. I'm assuming you didn't eat 7000 calories above your TDEE (if you did, you wouldn't be asking this question.) I would keep on keepin' on for now. Adding a new type of exercise like lifting or running can mean water weight that lasts for several weeks. I gained 3 pounds the first month I lifted and then it took me another month for that water weight to go away. So that was 2 months at essentially the same weight, though my size/shape definitely was changing.
