Regular Sleep

As the school year transitioned into summer I decided to try again to make this lifestyle change. I did not have a regular sleep schedule during the school year at all, often pulling all-nighters to finish projects and taking long daytime naps. My summer job is forcing me to go to bed early and get up around 6:45 am nearly every day.

I thought it would be terrible, but I feel so good! I used to be so tired when I would stay up as late as I did that I would eat in class to stay awake, and to give myself a little bit of energy. Today will be my ninth day in a row staying on track with my counting. That may sound like very little, but when I've tried in the past, I've never gotten further than three or four days in a row under calories! And it isn't stressing me out like it used to, either. I am definitely attributing this to my sleep. I cannot believe what a difference it has made.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? :)

I find it much easier to meet my calorie goals when I've had adequate rest the night before.

YES! A good nights rest can be a cure-all! I'm in bed by, at least, 9:30 each night and up by 6 every morning. Sleep is so very important!

    sleep is a wonderful thing.

I find if I am tired I don't choose well and I am less worried about doing my workouts and I don't care if I go over my calories.

Sleep is so incredibly important. It's great that you've gotten into a good sleep cycle. You are bound to find it easier to make better choices when you're not over tired. I know you'll find a lot of people who feel the same.
