Prior to getting back into shape I did not go to a gym in several years. I am a very dedicated person so I made the goal to loose weight. First by continually walking where I was able to loose approximately 20 pounds (from 220 to 200); then shortly after moving to Vancouver, BC I started at a gym. I made the decision to get a personal trainer as I did not want to start out my workout routines incorrectly.

Since February 2016 I have got my weight down to 185 pounds, now making the transition of building my muscle mass up. At the end of April I moved my calorie intake from 2500/day to 3000/day as my weight was at 185 pounds. I have not checked my weight in about two weeks but the last time during my weigh in I gain 2 pounds of muscle. I am extremely dedicated and at the gym at least 5 days per week.

I appreciate that I have received advise from a personal trainer as my journey would have taken longer with results not being as good. My goal is to maintain a healthy lifestyle so I can enjoy life with my family.

My daily exercises consist of 30 minutes of Cardio and 1 hour of weights; at the beginning I was doing 10 to 15 minutes of cardio and 45 minutes of weight training.
