Old scale was off by over 6lbs!!

Grrrrrr ahdkalsjdhakajld

That's all I have to say about that. So instead of being 185, I'm actually 191.3 :((

Buttttt, I'm glad I got my new scale working! I bought the fitbit aria scale about a month ago and couldn't get through the setup process to save my life. Luckily I got it working tonight..I was extremely close to throwing it out the window lol

Remember you haven't actually put on any weight, it's just a number

The Fitbit Aria reads about 0.7kg (1.5 lb) more than my previous scales. 6 lb is a big difference.. try not to be too discouraged.

That's very true, one of the hardest things to remind myself is that its just a number.

My old scale was olddddd lol I've had it for as long as I can remember. It was one of those with the rotating dial, I'm pretty sure we got it in the late 90s. My mom got a digital scale, but when I moved out of her house she gave me the old one. I just never realized how off it was.

Just add the 6 pounds to your starting weight too. You still have lost the same amount of pounds, just the numbers are a bit different.

Why are scales so useless? I don't understand how they get away with making something that fails to accurately do the one thing it is made to do!

I have two sets of scales I have to use, and there always seems to be about a 2lb difference between them, but I can never be sure exactly as I can't get weighed on them both at the same time in order to calibrate the difference. It means that when I have to move from one set to the other, I can never be sure of my progress until I get back to my "home" scales, often several weeks later.

The newest scales, which read 2lb more than my "home" ones, were bought to replace another set, which typically read yet another 2-3lbs more!

Ugh I hear ya. I have a relatively new digital scale. Less than a year old. Every time I go to the doctor and get weighed about 4lbs gets added on.

I heard those Aria's are a nightmare to setup. My friend who is in IT finally gave up he got so frustrated with it.
My scale is dead on with the doctor style one at my gym.
