I started a diet this week with my daughter. She quit the first day, but I decided to keep going. MyFitnessPal has helped me in the past. I lost 30 lbs two summers ago, and then gained it all back plus some while I was in Nursing school.

One of my favorite celebrities (who shall remain nameless) turned 40 recently, and she looks amazing. I'm turning 40 in November, and I would love to get back in shape before then, but I need support and encouragement to stay on track.

My daughter says she is going to start working out with me. So far she's worked out 6 minutes, and gone on one...one walk with me. That's been awhile ago. I have found a great group of friends on here who support me in my daily struggle, and who are honest enough to say what they feel. It's great to know others struggle with the buffet table, and that I'm not the only one who lost the battle with chocolate during my cycles. Add me if you would like to. It's great to have more friends who are looking for ways to support each other.

Hi! Welcome back. I'm afraid if you wait for your daughter to decide she's ready you won't be where you want to be by this fall. I actually graduated nursing school last August and turned 40 in January. My doc told me last week that I am healthier now than when I was 35 and that felt amazing! We're all here to help, feel free to add me.
