Hi everyone! I've been using MFP for 2.5 weeks and love how it helps me track my calorie intake each day. The bar code scan feature on my mobile version is awesome! The best part is that I'm not on a diet - I'm making a lifestyle change to watch my calorie intake. I can still have a treat here and there, so I'm not feeling deprived. Having to record what I eat is also helping me to make better choices as to what I eat.

When I did the Atkins diet years ago, I was able to get down to my desired weight, but it all fell apart when I started eating carbs again. I gained back all of the weight, plus more, over the years. My kids don't remember me being at a healthy weight, so I'm not only doing this for me, but also for them. I'm trying hard to stay at 1200 calories, which hasn't been all that difficult, but I really have to work at drinking my water. I typically only get 3-4 servings in a day.

So glad I ran across this app, and love how smoothly it syncs between my tablet version and when I add to my food diary online!
