Summer is coming
I weigh daily when I can. These are my weights over the last few days. If you gain weight on vacation keep these numbers in mind.
212.5 Wednesday leave for a cruise getaway
.... and I'm back
220.0 Tuesday + 7.5
216.7 Wednesday - 3.3
214.3 Thursday - 2.4
Overall so far I am "up" 1.8 pounds and that will probably be gone tomorrow as I can still feel the water retention/bloat. Mass produced, higher sodium food combined with not drinking enough water in hot weather can really affect your body.
Don't freak out after vacation - just get back to your normal habits.

If I rent a house place with a kitchen and cook my own food I too don't gain.
This trip was just full of naughty and no control over food prep - unless I wanted to eat only raw fruits and salad.

Don't forget airplane bloat...I generally put on a good 7-8 Lbs just from air travel alone.0 -

I'd think you are more in the minority here then...I don't think it's odd at all for most people to experience some bloating and excess waste in their system from overindulging on vacation. Most of mine is from flying.
I have lost weight while on vacation, but those are usually "adventure" vacations in 3rd world countries where it's more difficult to really over indulge...pretty easy to do on a cruise.0 -

I once (a long time ago) lost my last 5 pounds to get to my ultimate goal on a cruise ship. That was because I was dancing all night and going on lots of adventures. It does make a funny story but I also don't think that is normal.0 -
