so I'm almost to my end all goal of -100lbs but I can't find the motivation to get into the gym. What were some of the things you guys did to motivate yourselves in times of hardship?

I set performance based goals for physical fitness. Either running faster/farther or lifting heavier.

For fitness, I find the number on the bar to be more motivating than the number on the scale.

Performance based. I'm doing a lot of hiking at the moment carrying my kids and up the distance as often as I can. Working up to 30kms per hike (27kms last week).

Find some exercise that you actually enjoy doing (or don't mind doing too much). Or just don't go and eat less.

i like running intervals outdoors (30 sec sprint; 1:30 walk- there are free timers in the app store). 30 minutes goes by a lot faster for me doing this than it did in steady state running, which I hate, despite having been a soccer player most of my life.

Sounds like you need a new goal, something other than weight loss. That's one of the problems with setting weight loss as the only goal. Once you hit your target, motivation to stay healthy can seep away.

You are soooo close. Don't give in now. Imagine the moment when you can finally say you lost 100. Granted you have achieved so much already! Might try a new gym, or get a trainer to boost you through the finish line.

Perhaps take a break from the gym but keep exercising . Walk to a park work out there get creative and use the things along your journey.

As others have said, physical fitness and athletic performance goals are much more important and beneficial than mere weight loss. Don't go to the gym if you don't feel like it. It's beautiful outside. Why be stuck indoors in a stupid gym? Go for a walk, a run, a bike ride, a swim, kayaking, build muscles and coordination. There are so many more opportunities open to you now that you've lost 87 lbs. Seize the opportunity to get to the next level of fitness and activity.

I've lost 140 with 11 left. If I'm not moving forward, I'm going back to where I started. I don't want that, so I keep going for my workouts.
