I looked back at a few days, and it looks like 30%+ for me.0

i eat a lot of fat i suppose... a lot of butter, olive oil, avocados ect. I love fat and carbs especially together....Usually around 60g. More before my period so I don't binge on carbs.
Would probably make my GP crazy as she told me to eat fat free everything for my cholesterol (which didn't seem to help anyway), but it's that or being hungry all the time, so yeah.
yea my dr told me to have a low fat high fruit/veg diet. I said nope. ha.1 -

i've been seeing the lchf diet pop up here and there, and I'm wondering how anyone fits that much fat into their day, since fats are so high calorie. I'm ALWAYS super low on fat intake in my macros, always over on protein, and under in carbs. Though I do notice that when I have been really low on fat consumption, I crave avocados like crazy.
How much fat do you consume on the regular, and how much fat is really essential? I've had a few super active friends tell me that fats are really important, but for a person who's not a cycling junkie, how much is enough?
You hv to be careful if u take more fat u should lower the carbs intake u can play around and see how u feeling and ofcourse whats are your goals r importand0 -
I haven't learned how to convert the number on the chart to a percentage of macros. I just know the government suggests I eat more fat than I'm eating. Most days the number on the chart is around 50.0

I'm beginning to wonder if men generally can tolerate a lower fat% in their diet than women can? And health/diet recommendations are often (still, sigh) given by and for men. Could there be something in this?0

I have always done low fat. Just started doing 50% fat 35% carb and 15% protein. Never felt better and cravings are gone.1

About 10-15% of my 1700-2000 cal diet. That's around 20-30g/day.0

Around 30%. I try to eat balanced meals as best as I can. I get my fat from avocados, seeds, nuts, eggs, coconut oil and full fat items.
I feel amazing and very balanced with no cravings and I can go a while before feeling hungry in between meals.

They can fit that much fat into their diet because they are essentially eliminating an entire macronutrient (carbs) and eat a modest amount of protein.
I usually get around 50-60 grams which is around 0.3 grams per Lb of my body weight which is a good number to shoot for.0
