Which is correct? I always thought it was "lose", but I see so many people spelling it like this: "loose".
I thought loose meant not tight.
Am I wrong?

I may have to report that for offence to my eyeballs *cringe*3 -
"Loose" can be used as a verb: "Loose the hounds!"
I amuse myself when I read about "loosing weight". I imagine the person using excess poundage as a weapon.4 -

Take your pick. There are 100 pages worth to choose from. Point being, it's not going to be fixed.0 -

Lose weight equals loose clothes
Loose - not tight1 -
Isn't loose just a plural form of lose? I want to loose a few pounds instead of I want to lose a pound. Like how a few mose are then called moose? Wait... maybe it was moosen? Meesen?
I'm pretty sure I'm correct on all fronts regardless of my confoosen.1 -
I've got a few loose pounds around my midsection that I could handle to lose.1
