Linking MFP to Pacer

Put my iphone6s in the washing machine, yeah one of those days! So temporarily using iphone5. As it doesn't track steps itself have installed pacer, which works great but I can't seem to get MFP to find the data. When I go to steps to connect it keeps diverting me to the Pacer website even though I've got the app installed.... I've lost 6kg in a month, so want to keep the momentum going...
