Has anyone ever steamed chicken? I found a couple recipes but I wasn't sure if anyone had something they've used before

I tried it, but I'm just not a fan. Steamed chicken to me always makes it taste slimy...totally grosses me out.

Nope. I'd never steam, or poach my chicken. Sorry.

I ordered steamed chicken once at a Chinese restaurant after people recommended it as a low calorie option.

    Never again.

I've pressure cooked chicken thigh to be used in recipes ... never eaten it directly after cooking.

Good for things like soup, tacos, chicken salad, etc.

I have add it at a Chinese restaurant too. They steamed slice of chicken breast. Plain I did not like but nice with a dipping sauce. If you try I would steam some veggies too and have a sauce to enjoy with it. This is a good one. food.com/recipe/all-purpose-stir-fry-sauce-brown-garlic-sauce-87748

The only time I'd steam chicken is within another dish such as sticky rice in lotus leaf or a dumpling where you are steaming the package. Otherwise never.

I'll pan fry chicken (thighs) in a non stick pan so no oil is needed and you get a nice browning. Otherwise grill...

I marinate my chook breast then steam it. Therefor its still got flavour when eaten and is the healthiest cooking method. Also makes it easier when prepping with portion size
