Calories burned when standing

I find it that the calories burned when standing for 8 hours with some lifting between 25 to 50 pound boxes, kneeling, bending and walking involved to be quite high. I recently just started 3rd shift full time and I'm mostly standing or on my feet most of that 8 hours. I only have 2 20 min breaks so it's more like 7hrs 20 mins on my feet working mostly standing. My question is mainly why the calories burned are so high?

Most things seem to be overestimated. My job is similar to yours and I just changed my activity level rather than tracking a calorie burn that is surely inaccurate. Or i would log it and only eat 1/2 those calories back.0

Try changing your activity level to lightly active, and then don't try to count the calories burned on the job.1

What number is "quite high" or "so high"?
How are you estimating those calories?
Net calories or gross calories?
But however you do it really it's part of your activity setting not exercise.0
