Working out with infant and toddler

So, I've got an insanely busy life (I work two part time jobs and hubby is a cook at a high end restaurant and 14 hour shifts is totally normal for him) and between the jobs, the children, and the fact that if I want to see hubby most days I've got to be up at 1 when he gets home, and be ready to roll out of bed for work/life around 6.30 the next morning, I've decided that I need to cut myself some slack with exercising. I used to be the type to spend hours at the gym every day, but that was pre-munchkins, and it's hard not being able to do that now.

Instead of doing formal workouts I'm trying to fall at or slightly under my allotted calorie amount every day and walk 3 or 4 times a week for 30-45 minutes each. Combined with the fact that I'm lugging around the smallest man either in his carrier or on my chest nearly all day/every day I'm hoping to drop weight sans "working out". Does any one have any thoughts or words of wisdom for me?

Forget exercise, and rest. If you have a moment to spare, rest. Stop sleeping this little, when you see the consequences, it might be too late. If this means seeing your husband only on weekends, so be it. If it means never exercising, so be it. You need to set priorities. Rest and sleep should be top of the list because your kids need you to be healthy. If you can go for walks with the kids, awesome. If you are exhausted and feel it is too much, stop until you can get your schedule to be more reasonable.
As for dropping weight, focus on eating habits. Are you currently losing? Your goal seems too high to me to be honest, but if it works, great.
