Buffalo wing calories?

We got the frozen bag of Purdue buffalo wings from Costco, where it lists the serving size as "3oz edible portion (84g)". Does this mean I should weigh them before cooking, then subtract the weight of what I don't eat after?

Here's what I would do- please correct me if I'm wrong or someone has a better way. Heat them, weigh the wings on the bone, eat the meat, weigh the bones and scraps, subtract it from the first weight. This number should be the 'edible portion'.

I do the same thing as mpat. Heat or cook meat, then weigh it and after eating weigh the bones and subtract. I do this with baked chicken I get from the supermarket deli. If it is something I cook myself like pork chops I will usually cook it, pull it on then bone then weigh it before eating.

Excellent--I did just that--so much better that way!
