I've had both. Currently have a tourer and a cruiser.

I don't ride myself, but back of a street bike for a short ride (it's a rush!) and back of a cruiser for a long cruise.... Almost bought a Ninja 250 a few years ago to learn on, but backed out and just kept on the back of my ex boyfriends ZX10r

My fiancé sold his Ninja (which he called a "street bike" as well, but, in all actuality, unless it's a dirt bike, they're pretty much ALL "street bikes") recently for the down payment on our Harley Street Glide. He was surprised how much he actually enjoys riding the Harley. It's a totally different experience, Ninjas and other similar bikes seem to be more to fulfill an adrenaline kick, to ride really fast, etc. Cruiser type bikes are more for enjoying the ride. That's my take anyway.

Can't wait to get my GSXR one day, been my dream bike since I was a kid!! I think the closest I'd ever get to a cruiser would have to be the Kawasaki Mean Streak! They are bad *kitten*, and kind in the middle of both sporty & cruiser......I'm in LOVE with them!

Between the two, a street bike. I do prefer the more upright riding style than you get on a sports bike though.

    V-Strom
