Hello! Half Marathon

Hello! I've lost about 60 pounds and kept it off for about 7 years now and have now hit a plateau. I just ran my first 10k last week and it felt amazing, now I want to sign up for a half marathon in September to get in better shape and overcome my plateau. Does anyone have any tips or advice for training and diet? Thanks!

Good luck to you!!
I used the Hal Higdon training plan for my first 10k over a year ago. I've run a few others and a 12.2k marathon relay. Planning to run my first half marathon in October, also to overcome my plateau. I just printed the Hal Higdon training plan, which is 12 weeks. I've got about 20 weeks, so I'm probably going to repeat some of the weeks to ease up to the end. I'm here for motivation!!0 -
Best of luck to both of you!
I've ran a few half marathons, 2 fulls and a couple races in between but I am far from an expert. Thought I would pass along my two cents though, haha. Hal Higdon has some awesome training plans and his books are worth getting as well.
Oh and feel free to add me if you'd like!0
