I had huge success with mfp and running, then I quit smoking yikes! Gained it back and no matter what I do my scale won't go down p, getting really discouraged, I picked up some hydroxycut to boost my metabolism, hoping this will help, has anyone had success with this supplement?

If your metabolism was dead, you would be dead. Supplement not required. How's your logging? Are you weighing everything?

Don't bother with hydroxycut. It won't help you lose fat or boost your metabolism. Something else must have changed when you quit smoking. Are you stress eating? Did you replace your smoking vice with one that has a lot more calories? It's not uncommon to gain some weight when you quit, but it doesn't have anything to do with metabolism.

Your metabolism did not die. Even people who experience metabolic adaptations from being in a calorie deficit for an extended period of time still lose weight. Quitting smoking may have increased your appetite and you can't exercise yourself into a very sustainable deficit. Eat less and you'll lose
