Hi everyone!
I'm not new to the whole exercise and dieting thing, I've just lost my way and have gained about 11kgs. So basically I went through a short anorexic period and now I gain weight quickly (I know it'll take time for my body to re adjust) I just need help with finding what works for me in a healthy way and so that I can still have a rocking body but without taking it to the extreme and not eating enough!
What tips do you have!? I'm 20 years old current weight 57kg and 5'1 please help!

You can get tons of tips just reading in these forums, especially the "getting started" stickies. Then maybe come back with more specific questions? Feel free to ask anything more privately by message if you prefer!

Regular therapy meetings and peer support groups can really go a long way to help keep you on track. It's important to keep yourself from falling back into disordered eating, and therapy and peer support have been really helpful for me to do that! I took a whole two years recovering with binge eating disorder before I felt comfortable trying to monitor my food again. It's still a danger for me, but now I'm able to lose weight without letting myself get out of control. I know it's not the same as anorexia, but I feel like the guilty feelings might be something we have in common. :)

When I started losing weight I set a very hard rule that I have to eat at least 1000 calories each day no matter what (your mileage may vary). It was tempting to go below that sometimes. I had to remind myself that even though I'm not losing weight as quickly as I want to, I'm still losing over time, and any progress at all is good progress. I still have to remember that sometimes.

It gets easier with time and practice. Try to be kind to yourself, and if you mess up and have a relapse, think of it as an opportunity to learn what triggers you so that you can avoid it in the future.
