Remembering a vacation doesn't mean a "vacation" from healthy eating.

Have you ever gone on vacation and suddenly it was like "what diet" ? This reminds me how much we associate eating with pleasure. Surely, I ought to be able to have fun on my vacation without making food the focus! Our society as a whole celebrates by coming together over a meal. I am thinking I need to find other ways to celebrate and other ways to reward myself. I want food to have it's proper place in my life...to nourish my body. I don't want to eat for comfort, or because I am anxious, sad, tired or lonely....or because we associate food with having fun. Getting into that smaller pair of jeans, finally zipping up my "Pretty Woman Dress", feeling more confident in myself...now that is a reward!
