For me, changing my eating habit was easier than exercising. The trick is finding exercise you enjoy. Just do a little at a time to begin. Set small manageable goals and before you know it, you have a full blown routine.

Losing weight has nothing to do with how often you exercise. It has to do with Calories In vs. Calories Out, or CICO.

Use MFP to find out how much you should be eating to lose weight.

Measure your food accurately. Record your workouts accurately.

I sit for most of the time during the day, so I set my calorie guide to sedentary. I've dropped 2lbs/week for the past twelve weeks without issue. Of course, I still have 98lbs to go, so 2lbs a week is very safe and easy for me. The closer you are to perfect, the harder it is to lose weight.

20 lb loss in one month is a pretty impressive loss.

That said, if you lack the ambition to exercise but think you should be exercising, try easing into it by doing something not too ambitious - like take a short walk once or twice a day. Look at it as a short escape from your work routine. Do it daily and the day will come when you find yourself enjoying it.

It's about habits. If your budget allows perhaps buy some personal trainer lessons to get you started. The money you spent will "force" you to get to the gym, perhaps enough to get a habit started.

That's fine, then! Do it when you enjoy it. If you force yourself to go, to might grow to hate it.

That said, walking or yoga could be great for something during the week if you're up for it. If exercise is a goal for you, you can just work up to doing more each week.
