Then suck it up and get back to it! This is a marathon not a sprint! You're going to want to exercise just so you can "afford" that cheesecake you saw in the store window that we BOTH know you don't have the willpower to avoid! You are going to be depressed when the weight comes off slower than the syrup dribbling off your pancakes in the morning!
You're going to want to give up when you can only manage half a pound a week!
SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! We're all in this together and we've all got it hard. I've got 98lbs to go, do you see me crying in my peanut butter chocolate Hagan Daas? NO! Do you know why? Because it won't fix the fat!
But you know what will? CICO!
That's right, Calories IN versus Calories OUT! If IN is less than OUT, guess what? You get to lose weight! If IN is more than OUT, you're gonna get fat - again!
Exercise is what "buys" you more calories to feed your face with! You don't get enough food, you want more? Well, princess...
THEN DROP AND GIVE ME TWENTY!!!

I'm not a harsh person, but I will not give you any "there there, we all do it" with regards to overeating. 30lbs down and I haven't gone over once. Not a fan of excuses. If that's good for you, feel free to add me.
Oh, and BinaryFu, you are hilarious.0 -

I can't speak for the drill sergeant (that's Army), but for the Marine Corps drill instructors managing the weight of the recruits was fairly easy really. If you were designated a "fat body" a, "skinny body", or a "weak body", they adjusted how much to got to eat, along with extra exercises appropriate to build you up, and/or lose weight. With total control they can change things fairly quickly.
I could give examples of the approach and language used, but it would be a post full of the *kitten* filter. Be careful what you wish for!
But in hindsight, that giving up of control showed people a new mentality that your body will do things you didn't think it could do. I'm glad I chose to do it.0
