Mixing low carb and high carb

Was wondering if anyone has ever tried and if so if it's worked. It's like 3 days of low carbs (50g) and then 2-3 days of higher carbs (100-150g) with exercise and then repeat. Thoughts or ideas on this?

It seems unnecessary to me to do this. Those who go low carb do it for the long haul. Going low carb does not = weight loss, a calorie deficit does. Combining the 2 and going moderate carb would be the best.

It's called carb cycling. Do some research, but if I remember correctly, it's especially helpful for those who work out regularly.

I know, but...carb cycling offers no benefit to weight loss or even working out. I work out and always eat carbs.

Sorry. I was replying to the original poster. Basically just an easier way to look it up by name

I don't see the point. You'll lose a bit of water weight on your low carb days only to regain it again when you eat more carbs. Yes, you'll also lose fat if you're in a deficit, but you can do that on any diet plan.

Technically those are all low carb days. ;)

Some variation is fine. I have some days at almost zero carbs and other days that are over 50g - most are around 30g since I stay mostly keto. Do what works for you.
