I don't get why people would use fake pics.. but I don't mind.2

How do you find out they are fake?3

Because the boogie man is gonna use face recognition software and get you!!!
Actually, mine is real.1 -
I need to be careful when it comes to my online presence. I have people that think I'm dead and that's a good thing.26

I don't understand fake pics at all especially on a place like here. It's not like we r here to date...we r all here with different fitness and health goals. All of us are working to better ourselves so why not just be real to each other.2

Hon--I hate to tell you this, but it's probably done because alot of people are married, or in serious relationships. They like to play around, but are afraid of being discovered. That's what came to mind immediately when I saw the title of theis thread. Careful.3 -
When I say fake I don't mean pics of memes or stuff like that...I mean posting pics and pretending to look like someone else. It's one thing to wang to be annoy nymphs but another to flat out lie about who you are. I meant no offense...4

There was a story not long ago, in the uk, about a woman who met a guy online and they would meet up for sex...turns out the man was a woman using a *kitten*. The pretender had posted online as a male basketball player, I think, and when they met up insisted on lights being off and wearing a mask to cover facial scars. Went to prison because of that. Moral of the story: Internet dating is pants wetting scary. Saying that never done it so maybe I know jack.0

What the actual fu€k... would you not get just a wee bit suspicious with the whole make thing?!-1 -
I use an older more flattering pic for no other reason than I prefer to see myself when I was better looking.
... Yes that IS a flattering pic of me.
BARTENDER!! Another round please!4 -
Well my pic is a real one of me and my hubby. But I am here to lose weight and get fit. I might make some good supportive online friends along the way, but I am not looking to have a relationship with anyone so don't really care if pics are fake.6

I like to gaze at my profile pic and so I want it to be top notch. Everyone's really here for the dating they just don't know it yet.

Yeah, but most are easy to spot so just avoid them.0

And how would you know who is fake exactly? Ooooh, and another one - why does it matter to you? This is not a dating site.
(and no, I am not a fake, just don't get this crying over it)5 -
I use this pic because I can't stand how I look, which is why I'm here in the first place! Also, there are very few pictures of me in existence, for the same reason. I also use it because there is an amount of anonymity that I want to keep while I'm here, so it can be somewhere that I can talk to people in similar circumstances to me, and not feel like I'm being totally laid bare.
I'm definitely not here for dating (I'm happily engaged), and my partner can see my profile any time he wants, but he knows this is 'my' place, where I can work on becoming a happier, healthier me.5 -
Someone got catfished?
Poor boy...2 -

-
