I wasn't sure what category to put this in but since I have started really trying to lose weight about two weeks ago I have been breaking out! I thought this would help my skin clear up more. I haven't had anything except water to drink for almost 2 weeks now and overall I have been eating much better. I haven't been doing any more sweating or anything while working out since I'm just starting out walking. (Gotta start somewhere right?) I was just curious if this anyone has any explanation or if anyone else experienced this? The only thing I can think of its my body reacting to a change in my diet. Thanks!

It's just me, but since I experimented on Mrs' eczema a few weeks ago with an Epsom salt foot soaking which cleared up her skin and her mind, I'm happy to say that it cannot hurt and may help a lot. It provides magnesium which is absorbed through the skin. We, not just weight losers but almost every human, doesn't eat enough magnesium and can benefit from either supplements or the Epsom salts soaking. Best wishes to you.

Well, I know body fat in women is somehow connected with hormones - something about our bodies creating and/or storing more estrogen when we have higher body fat. Could be your body is going through some hormonal craziness due to weight coming off along with a change in your activity level and/or a shift in diet.

Initially I ate a lot of dairy due to its high protein/low calorie content: cottage cheese, cheese sticks, etc. and I was breaking out from it.

    You mean acne?
I have had less acne breakouts actually. My diet hasn't changed much except getting more protein and maybe more vegetables like spinach or carrots. I haven't cut anything out. I still get mild acne with my period every month but that is hormone related not because of food, drink or exercise.
I wouldn't think 2 weeks would be long enough to mess you up if you are not doing anything very intense. Are you eating any new foods? Maybe having a reaction?
