Sound familiar to anyone:

You inexplicably feel like your old, heavier weight?
This has happened to me a few times since I've been losing - I just have a day where I look in the mirror and I swear I see my old 140lb body and I feel my old 140lb body.

Even though I'm careful to save up calories for junk food indulgences, it still terrifies me to go there. I went there a few times this week, so maybe that's what's triggering this paranoia. I don't want to slip back into rationalizing bad food choices only to wake up one day 20lbs over-weight.

I think most people have a bit of body dismorphia as they are losing weight, or are early in maintenance.
I can remember seeing myself in reflections and not recognising my new shape, I still saw myself in my old shape.
It takes time and is not consistent.

Don't think of food as good and bad, food is food. Some of it has a better nutritional value and it is good to focus on that, but low nutrition treats are good too.

And yes, at 100 lbs, I have rolled out of bed on a Sunday morning, after a fantastic Saturday night, and felt like an overstuffed blob. ( a bit of beer or carb bloat doesn't help).

I personally don't think it is much to worry about when it is just an occasional thought, just the mind trying to keep pace with the body.

    Cheers, h.

    Don't believe everything you think.
