So I have this customer who I call my boyfriend. He's married and his wife is absolutely ADORABLE! They've been married for 60 something years. Kids the whole bit. He told his wife in front of me, you think my bank girlfriend is pretty? :-) Well I love this guy! And her too. LOL He still drives too! Well he will be 90 in a few weeks and I'm making him a huge gift basket for his birthday. So far I've got some candy, McDonald's gift card (Him and his wife like going there for breakfast) and a Kroger gift card because they shop there all the time! LOL Anybody else have a grandpa or someone they know this old but still trucking? LOL I want it to be full!

Thanks everyone! :-)

I would go with a cake that has a stripper inside. But that's just me.

Also, Denny's gift cards might work. Old people like Denny's.

My gramps just turned 95 in December he's still self sufficient too, except the driving part, but he takes the bus all over. Honsetly all my grandpa talks about is sex and drinking beer! For his 90th we had a a huge bonfire and keg party by the pool in my uncles back yard at the foothills of the Catalina Mountains! It was awesome!

I was going to say the Mc'D's gift card, but ya already have that. Maybe if they drink coffee, most old timers I know do....get them some good gourmet coffee, also my gramps loves sweets, especially ice cream maybe a gift card to Baskin Robins or something similar so they can get ice cream together.....

I would only suggest this if you can arrange delivery very near your local hospital!

This may not fit your situation but we just upgraded my mother from an old Kindle 3G she loved to a Kindle Paperwhite 3G for her 90th birthday. She has macular degeneration and the old Kindle's grey screen was getting too dim for her. She can make the font as big as she wants and reads, reads, reads!

I have set up a page on my web site with a link to Amazon's free best seller's lists and made a separate use account and Kindle emulation on my computer for her. She picks out titles on Amazon and then calls me and I do the Kindle one-click purchase from my house (900+ miles away). I'm her designated online shopper because with the macular degeneration she doesn't want to click on the wrong thing accidently and inadvertently spend money.
